Why does Mark Wahlberg keep getting roles?

The guy is not even an average actor. He plays the same role of patriotic, working-class guy. And he has a scumbag look about him.

I liked him in the departed... But to be honest I haven't seen many of his movies he was the lead

Dude is GREAT at comedy. The Other Guys was a tour de force by Wahlberg. The comedic parts of Boogie Nights and The Departed are fantastic.

Some people don't like some actors regardless of how well they play roles and what not. He is a really good actor and plays comedy roles perfect. I die laughing every time I watch it

OP is an idiot. I get he's not the best actor in Hollywood, but he is pretty much solid. The Italian Job, The Departed, Lone Survivor, We Own the Night, The Fighter, Boogie Nights are just a few movies where he was good.
