The Salamanca brothers were evil, but they knew. They didn't try to be anything else. They even enjoyed it, and had a twisted morally, maybe due to their circumstances. Yes evil, but they didn't shy from it.
Walt, at least initially, was doing evil things and HE knew exactly what he was doing was wrong. Walt knew right from wrong, he let his morals get twisted. He gave in. He nearly sacrificed a kid. And he knew it and he wanted to.
Way more evil.

I just binge watched the entire series about a month ago. By the time Badfinger started playing, I hated every character except Holly.
In retrospect, I realize Steve Gomez and Jane's father were also a good people. The rest of them were assholes. The whole fricking bunch of them.
