Is that the biggest one? Birmingham has one and it's awesome. I saw Star Wars there and it was great

Yes, there are only like 100 or so still going in America, most are now the cheaper, smaller digital IMAX

Yes. Interstellar was incredible. I saw it in 70mm on my 3rd watch.

I want to see Dunkirk in 70mm and I'm willing to drive 5 hours.

ETA: How does this work in the dome style IMAX theaters? Interstellar was 70mm but just a huge flat screen (New Orleans ripped out the 70mm projector the following year). I am thinking about driving to the dome theater in Birmingham for Dunkirk.

I saw The Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar in 70mm IMAX. Unfortunately Hawaii doesn't have one so I'm just going to have to live off the smaller, digital one for Dunkirk.

I saw Interstellar on the ultimate IMAX screen in Philly to where the whole screen was curved like it was a planetarium. That was amazing.

It says they have the 70mm version showing at the AMC in Harahan, the only one in Louisiana

Nashville has one. I haven't gone yet, but I'm considering seeing Dunkirk there.

I think Oklahoma City has like the 2nd largest IMax screen in N America (or at least it was when it was built).

Anyone in the Dallas area is within 3hrs drive of that. It's around 6 hrs for me, but damn it's worth it. The Moore Warren Theater in Oklahoma City is the greatest movie theater I've ever been to by a mile.

I didn't know that, that sucks.

The one in Houston transitioned from 70mm to 4K digital. So, I'm guessing that is better? Big screen - 60'x80'

Since I won't be able to see it on 70mm, which is the better choice out of AMC IMAX and Cinemark XD?

I saw Rogue One at the Cinemark XD and was pretty impressed.

Yes it is. We saw Dr. Strange on it and it was amazing visually. Can't wait to see Dunkirk on it.
