Do you have HBO? They're showing it weeknights at 7 CST on HBO Signature. It's still in the first season. I'm enjoying the hell out of watching it again. Or you can watch on HBO Go.

Do you have friends that have HBO Go accounts that would give you their password?

I think i do know someone that has HBO go. I will check with them.

Just to be sure, it is worth watching, correct? I've heard great things about it.

Maybe I will buy. How does it compare to Breaking Bad? I know they're completely different shows, but in terms of quality.

I've never seen Breaking Bad, but the Sopranos is greatness. Sometimes, like in most series, there's some bs going on that you wonder "what's the point of this?", but the actual mob stuff and portraying the lifestyle is just spectacular television. The first 4 or 5 seasons are especially good.

I'm rewatching the series and I completely forgot how top notch everything was

It might be the greatest television show ever. Seriously, it's that good.

Don't go in looking for godfather type shite. This is a mostly accurate portrayal of how the modern mob works.

Oh, and don't speed run the show. It's not that kind of show. It demands your attention and doesn't spell every single thing out for you. The ending is the best ever. Just a brilliant scene.

I think that's about how long it took me. Every time I got a free hour, I'd watch an episode.

IMO The Sopranos smokes Breaking Bad. I know I'm gonna offend the BrBa fans on here but The Sopranos is on another level.

And I'm a fan of Breaking Bad

I think Breaking Bad and Sopranos are both great, and will have to see how BB ends before I decide which I like better.

The story line with both is great and unique. Even The Sopranos' mob-based story. It looks much further into religion and family than most other mob shows or movies.

BB basically writes the main character from this sympathetic, cancer victim to an unlikeable a-hole.

The unique thing about The Sopranos is Tony is a neanderthal a-hole the whole series and you can't help but love him.

The viewer is supposed to connect with tony at times and Identify with him on some level, but we are meant to despise him for all of the horrible things he does. There is no moral ambiguity in the show. I identify Occassionally with tony, and I want him to "win" but I'm often disgusted with him. It's really 50/50 for me until the final season. At that point he has really no redeemable qualities

Breaking bad has gotten better with each season where I thought the sopranos feel off after season three.
