What's your favorite movie about a writer or artist?

Not a lot of them stand out in my memory. But I liked the Kirk Douglas version of Van Gogh. Also, though it gets some grief because it shouldn't have won the Oscar, I liked Shakespeare in Love. There was also a movie with Toluse Lautrec in it that I enjoyed but I can't remember the name of it.

Fear and Loathing, Finding Neverland or The Secret Window.

Weirdly, all three starring Johnny Depp.

Also, Amadeus.

Out of Africa is definitely up there.

For some strange reason I've never watched Fear and Loathing all the way through. Gonna have to remedy that.

Barton Fink by a long shot. It is probably the best movie ABOUT creativity and fiction ever made.

Wonder Boys is very good though as well.

And Adaptation.

There are soooo many. These are just off the top of my head. Wonder boys is so fricking good. I can't tell you how many times I've watched it. Same goes for basquiat.
