I did a rewatch of the entire series over the last few months and forgot how awesome the Creed character was. His little small bit roles were so damn funny.

One of my favorites is the episode where Michael is trying to get Toby fired for drugs. They call in the cops, cops walk in:
Dwight: "I may have insider information that someone is holding drugs in this very office."
Pans over to a nervous Creed standing up and bracing for the worst.
Then it cuts to Creed in the conference room: "Just pretend like we're talking until the cops leave."

I think that Creed is the one trump card that the American Office has over the British Office. You can debate over the characters and writing, but there's nothing like Creed but Creed.

This was my favorite show 10 years ago and then I just stopped keeping up with it. Been doing a rewatch the last few weeks starting from the beginning and damn what a great show. It's a shame they couldn't keep Carrell on, the last few seasons really don't hold a candle to 2-4

We watched the 2nd episode, Diversity Day, last night before bed just for the heck of it. It still stands as one of my favorite episodes, but it's a shame that Creed wasn't a part of it. I can only imagine the one-liner that he would have spewed had he been in that episode.

That first season is weird because the set cast hadn't been fully realized yet. You watch it and there's just random people everywhere.

American Office found it's own identity eventually. They were obviously trying to mimic everything about the British version in that first season (episode 1 is a carbon copy), but I love Michael Scott waaaaaaayyyyyyyyy ore than David Brent, who was pretty much an a-hole. And Dwight over Gareth all day long, although Gareth had his moments for sure.
