I'll be seeing it, just not sure if I'll catch it in the theaters or on dvd.

Definitely gonna wait for a good quality torrent

I know. Every time I see the trailer I think, wait why isn't that alien fat?

But I'll see it b/c of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

The cast makes me want to see it, but the previews aren't incredibly impressive.

It being R is also another reason I want to give it a chance. If it were pg-13, I'd overlook it.

I'll probably just wait to redbox it though.

I saw it the other night. It's good, but everyone else here has summed it up pretty well. Worth checking out, but not for paying theater prices.

It looks formulaic, predictable, crass, and low brow. If it ends up on HBO and I have nothing better to watch... maybe.

Would it be ok for kids?

I know it's R, but R doesn't necessarily mean kids shouldn't see it.

There's a lot of cussing and several sexual innuendos, also very mild nudity (alien mooning someone) and one moment of gunshot gore. So I would lean towards no, but you may be on the lenient side.
