Was it just to show the changing landscape of a profession over the years? I just didn't get it. It seemed like every episode had no end game or point.

If you didn't see how every character evolved then I'm sorry. Except Roger. He's the same

To cause me to switch from shots to Old Fashioneds if I want to get crazy. Like a grown up.

It was a soap opera and a period piece.

Only it was the greatest soap opera ever written.

You didn't "get it". It's ok, I never "got" Monty Python? Except for the lumberjack song/skit.

So many great answers and one snooty one that I cut short.

I found it entertaining! Before it was over, I felt like I knew most of the characters better than they knew themselves. As a guy who was in elementary school during the 60's, I can say the period was covered well. It brought back what my dad would call, "The good ole days." It stirred personal memories just like Dazed and Confused did. That's how much things changed in a decade. It was a nice ride. It was nice to "relive" the times.

I worked in the advertising industry for 28 years, so the presentations, meetings, wheeling and dealing, etc. were all interesting. I think they could have set it in other "office" settings, but by doing the show in the ad industry they were able to bring so much pop culture to the show. The ad industry was much more glamorous in the 60's, 70's and 80's than it's been since. They did a good job bringing that back.

"In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them....maybe you can hire The A-Team."
