My parents took me to a drive in to see Coal Miners Daughter.
I also remember going to see The Empire Strikes Back. I was super excited, even though I never saw Star Wars (didn't see it until after ROTJ). I guess all those toys did their jobs.

No shite, start off a thread with your first.
Mine...return of the jedi at bon mache...3 years old and it was the very first movie that my mother said I was just captivated by...after I thought stat wars was a documentary.

Beauty and the Beast. I was 4. I still vividly remember seeing the Prologue and Bonjour from the theater. I do remember my sister's first birthday party vaguely, so I think it is my second memory. I'm also relatively certain it was the first time I was taken to the movie theater.

Willow (1988). I was 9.
ETA: I remember going with my dad to see 2001: A Space Odyssey in the theater as part of a re-release. I don't know when this could have been, but possibly before.

That was the first movie I owned (along with The Last Crusade). Both were given to me as Christmas gifts.

I vaguely remember seeing a Dirty Harry movie, Deadpool maybe, with my dad when I was very young. This was at Time Plaza Theater in Lafayette which most people today don't even remember as a movie theater.

Raiders of the Lost Ark. 6 years old at Cinema 8 in Bon Marche Mall. Was captivated the entire movie, but nothing comes close for me to that opening sequence in movie moments.

Jurassic Park. I remember having to piss really bad but the movie kept going on and on. Finally I couldn't take it any longer so I finally went to the bathroom. By the time I came back, everybody was walking out of the theater because the movie had finally ended.

Going to see Jurassic Park: The Lost World in the AMC Palace 20 in Harahan is my first movie experience I remember. The theater had just opened, I was only a kid and I remember being in complete awe of the theater.

Superman in early 1979 at some theater around Nashville. I also remember seeing a Burt Reynolds movie around that time, but I can't remember the name of it. It wasn't Smokey and the Bandit though.

I was four, and it was one of the Pink Panther movies - Revenge of the Pink Panther - and yes, I was disappoint it wasn't the cartoon.
But my second was...wait, maybe that was Grease. Maybe.
But Star Wars (cuz that was it's official title) was when I was 5, for sure. We were in Hackensack, NJ. I don't think I moved AT ALL the entire flick. Mouth open and in AWE.
To this day, I still get excited hearing the 20th Century drum roll/ trumpets.
