What is your opinion on Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal?

Just watched Red Dragon for the first time and I thought it was pretty good. Going to watch the other two in the next few days.
Did you guys like them? And how were they viewed when they came out?

honestly... I liked Manhunter the best out of all the Lector films. I was never as high on the Hopkins flicks as everyone else is.
I'd probably rank them in order of release
Manhunter
Silence
Hannibal
Red Dragon
Hannibal Rising
I will say that Hannibal is probably the directorial pinnacle of the Brett Ratner's career and its been all downhill since.

Hannibal gets a lot of hate but I thought it was serviceable, just fine imo.
Just started watching Red Dragon for the first time and the opening sequences before the title credits (sweetbreads) is outstanding.

Red Dragon - alright movie, even though Norton was (surprisingly) bad in it. He was barely awake.

Red Dragon is an awesome movie.
Silence is a solid movie as well although I don't care for what's her face.
As for the last one, I would smash Julianna Moore with reckless abandon.

Red Dragon was good, can't go wrong w/ Edward Norton and Harvey Keitel
Silence was great
Hannibal wasn't good IMO b/c whether or not you liked Jodie Foster in Silence, you just can't replace her.
