What happens to Josh from "Big" in the future?

This is a cross post from a thread that was in the O-T Lounge but I wanted to get y'all's opinion on a question that I had.
What do you think Josh's adult life is like. I thought about this when I watched it a little while ago. How mad is he going to be when he grows up, goes to college, and can not land the same caliber of job he gave up as a kid? He had a dream set up. Good money, extravagant penthouse in Manhattan, a job he loved, and a boss that thought he could do no wrong, and a nice, intelligent, and good looking woman.
What do you think a sequel would look like? My take would be dark where the best job he can land is some crappy job he hates and he goes on a killing spree. Then Again I am a cynical guy.
Kind of fun to think of "Falling Down" as the sequel to big?

This is a good prediction.
At the same time, the movie is partly about him not wanting to miss his times as a kid, his mother, his sister, so there's some hope there that he matured in the film....
then Dominates school with his newfound carnal knowledge.

How many times do you hear people say something along the lines of "if I knew then what I know now...". This dude got the cheat codes for life when he was 12. He's going to kick some major arse.

This is what I don't understand. He started out making dirt, I think his first paycheck was like $187? Jon Lovitz could barely afford to live off that crap. Yet he has some ballin pad with arcade games and shite in there?

I just don't see him achieving the same level of success. It will end up being a regret he didn't stay with her and live out that life, but I think he knows it's a double edge sword that he would of regretted missing his childhood/family had he not gone back.

I thought he got promoted prior to getting the nice place. I will have to rewatch.

And...he was a kid, so I'm thinking he used credit cards, not knowing how debt actually works.

Pretty close:

The space goes down, down baby, down, down the roller coaster.
Sweet, sweet baby, sweet, sweet, don't let me go.
Shimmy, shimmy, cocoa pop. Shimmy, shimmy, rock.
Shimmy, shimmy, cocoa pop. Shimmy, shimmy, rock.
I met a girlfriend - a triscuit.
She said, a triscuit - a biscuit.
ce cream, soda pop, vanilla on the top.
Ooh, Shelly's out, walking down the street, ten times a week.
I read it. I said it. I stole my momma's credit.
I'm cool. I'm hot. Sock me in the stomach three more times.

I dunno, the older he gets the more he'll be glad he didn't give up those 18 yrs. esp when he is about 30 for real and his former adult gf is now 50.

Yeah, I think he ultimately comes out way ahead because of the whole "if I only knew then what I know now" thing like someone said.
Also, the very second I turned 17 (or 18, whatever is legal), I'm getting in touch with ole girl and trying to get with her again. No doubt.

I always wondered how she felt, deep down knowing she is now a child molestor.

And what did his boss/coworkers think the next work day when he doesn't show and has disappeared off the map?
Posted on 6/5/14 at 2:53 pm to WG_Dawg
Yeah, he didn't get the penthouse till he was promoted to the executive position. Before that he was living in the one room hotel where he fell asleep every night to gun shots.
Interesting points. I can definitely see the regretting giving away 18 years of his life down the line. I also see the angle of 'if I knew then what I know now'.
Edited because Teddy beat me to the question.

in the original ending she uses the wish machine to be young again.

The alternate ending shows young Josh sitting in his classroom at school when he turns around to notice a young female classmate of whom he recognises as Susan - who went back to the fairground machine and wished that she was Josh's age.

also, there is apparently an extended cut that has 26 minutes of previously deleted footage.

I heard that there is another alternate ending where Susan becomes Josh's teacher and tells Josh he has to stay after school for special instruction.

They edited that out to avoid an NC-17 rating
