A NYT bestseller for nearly a decade and was a layup for any studio. Is this just something the femi-nazi crowd took from us? Basically this should have been Hangover before Hangover even if the studio had to get away from some original material. At least we got the book.

I never did see the movie but I'm pretty sure people thought it was terrible. I liked that Logan from Gilmore Girls played the main dude, though. He's quite the douche.

That's the point. It already had a cult following with the book and no studio green lit it? Instead it was a B lister indie. It was bad for that reason but you can't say the material wasn't good enough for a slam dunk film with the right director and cast.

Me too. But it could have been so much more. That guy from Bring it on made most of it for me.

The stripper and bring it on guy made it. It's hard to say how the rest could have done with more production quality.

Nah. There were some women who protested, but Tucker Max's marketer later admitted it was a publicity stunt that he ginned up.

As dumb as people are, I'm surprised the fake protests didn't bring the frat-douche types flocking to the movie. That it didn't is a testament to how much the movie sucked.

The movie was funny. I watched it with about 6 other people who laughed their butts off.

Must have been millions of 13 year olds buying books back then.
