To be honest, I wouldn't mind Disney buying the property bc that company knows how to build a comic universe.

One thing they need to do though is make write more character into their heroes in the comics. Pretty much all of the heroes are just boring and one dimensional. There needs to be more life in heroes.

What are your opinions?

And for the love of God, OML keep your posts below 50% of this thread.

We get it, you didn't like the superman movies. Stop posting the same thought over and over and over and over again.

A film from the viewpoint of a villain. Stories surround the heroes too much.

Marvel knows how, Disney came in after Marvel had already started it.

Maybe make one superhero movie per year, instead of 60.

I'll put it simply: fire Zack Snyder and David Goyer literally tomorrow, put a 6 month hold on everything but the Suicide Squad, and have Bruce Timm come in and clean up his shite. That is how you handle it.

Warner Brothers owns DC outright. They would never sell that to Disney.

To be fair, they're doing that with Suicide Squad.

Fire Zack Snyder and other like hacks at DC who share his vision of film making. He sucks and hates the characters he's making movies with and tries to force his jumbled mess of a story, plot devices and weak character development on us.

His style does not work for character driven movies like comic book movies.

I really like, respect, admire and trust Timm on building comic universes and DC animated wouldn't be the juggernaut it is today without him but does he have it in himself to translate his animated success to live action movies using real human beings?

Seriously, how great would it be to have a director who has as big of a passion for Superman as JJ Abrams had for Star Wars? That would change everything.

I don't want him as the director. I want him as the orchestrator. The guy who leads the directors. He's very gifted at leading multiple projects at once and choosing fine directors to lead them. Snyder doesn't know dick about this.

Is Whedon available? :|

Miller?

I can see making a play for JJ abrams but I think his style works best for Trek and Wars.

Completely agree that it starts with a person that understands and respects a true Superman version that is inspiring.

It boils down to that. We have seen Batman done very well for a decade now. Not really Superman though. Wonder Woman looks promising.

If Superman gets fixed, that would help solve a lot of ills. I like the actor. He needs better material.

Snyder took a lot from comic source material, but it seemed like he didn't quite get the essence of each character.

By making it shitty and PC and devoid of original creative storytelling?

Even if you're right about that, it's better than what we have.

Yep. It's too bad Jeff Nichols turned down Aquaman. I would want him to take over the entire Justice League at this point.
