New Nightmare and Dream Warriors are my two favorite Elm Street films, and they are very different in style, which is nice.

I currently only own DW and New Nightmare. I should probably grab 1 and call it a day. Those are the best three of the series.

And I also fully expected Freauxzen to be the first response in this thread, but he was actually the first two responses.

It's just one of those films that doesn't get enough love, specifically because of

It was basically Scream two years before Scream came out.

And I quite enjoy Scream and probably get to it more often than New Nightmare. So the more people that watch it the better.

But yeah probably didn't need the two posts. But I always feel like when someone posts a "Should I watch this" thread, you have like 10 minutes to make an impact or they move on.

The only 3 worth owning, honestly. The others range from mediocre to cringe inducing. They also did not involve Wes Craven.

technically New Nightmare isn't a part of NOES series, it's its own stand alone film about the actors who played in the movie

New Nightmare is pretty good IMO. Probably 3rd in the series behind 1 and Dream Warriors.

The thing I like most about New Nightmare is Freddy's updated look. The glove is more organic-looking, and he wears a long black trench coat that makes him look so much more intimidating.

Will not watch horror movie, horror movie trailers. Nothing. Although I did get her to watch Slither, Cabin in the Woods and Tucker and Dale, so that's a plus.

Currently working on getting her to see Crimson Peak in theaters
