Yea its all hurt feelings. My feels were kicked in the teeth when he responded to criticism to his version of Watchmen by instead shitting on some of the ideas Terry Gilliam had when he was in discussions for potentially working on it.

I loved Watchmen. Both the comic and the movie. I thought it was pretty solid. I thought that he nailed Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan. The Dr. Manhattan origin scene was one of the best things I've seen in a comic book movie, period. We can go back and forth for days about stuff he got wrong and stuff he got right. The fact is, that comic is almost impossible to get perfect, IMO, and I think he did a great job on most of that movie. There are many who don't like Snyder and probably never will. That's their opinion. But don't categorize "all" fans with people who have your point of view. Your opinion is yours, but not everyone feels that way. If you or anyone else thinks that, you're dead wrong. Many DC fans are pumped and excited for both this movie and the future.

That doesn't even have anything to do with what we are talking about. I simply gave some reasons for why I don't believe him when he claims the trailer didn't give away too much
As for Watchmen, I liked it. I didn't like that when he was faced with a question about criticism of it he instead deflected by saying something along the lines of "Well I saved it from Terry Gilliam and the crap he wanted to do." I brought that up as an example of his inability to deal with criticism in a constructive way. Not to say I thought it sucked.

It just seems like there's this lingering hate toward where Snyder is taking things and how this movie is going to be bad. I wasn't really directing the post specifically to you. Just an overall scope that many people ARE actually excited about what they've seen.
As far as the trailer, I really have a problem with any trailer revealing too much. I felt like AoU made a mistake by showing Vision. I felt like we got the entire plot of that movie in the trailer as well. I mean, the list goes on with movies that I feel gave away too much. I think the reason they showed Doomsday is because some fans were already hearing about Doomsday and some YouTubers were saying how much they hated the idea of Doomsday being introduced. I think they figured might as well break him in now and confirm it. Let it settle in over a few months. Personally, I already found out about Doomsday and more that has not been revealed months ago. With a movie like this, I can't help myself but get excited and find out spoilers, so it didn't bother me as much. The commericals were fine. Why they were after the game is a better question. I imagine most people watching are milling around at this point.

I thought the commercials were pretty awesome. But that's not the trailer the OP is referring to. I really hope a lot of you don't go see this movie so you won't be a part of the post discussions. One can only hope...
