Watching True Blood for the first time (Spoilers)

4 episodes in. Is it comedy, drama, horror, love story? I can't figure it out yet. Someone give me a reason to keep watching. No Spoilers, please.

Just my own personal experience with the show.
It went from awesome to eh to meh to I'm glad it's the last season so we can wrap this thing up.
All of them....probably less comedy though.

I don't think the creators could ever decide what to make of it, but the first year was actually pretty good, you'll enjoy it. I liked the Vampire Bill intro. storyline. From there . . . well, not gonna give anything away, but if you like things a bit cray, cray and over-the-top, you may enjoy it.

I stayed with it through season 4. Should have tapped out after season 2. 1 & 2 were really good IMO. 3 was meh and 4 was just blah.

It's campy and at times really fun. At other times it's really dumb. It's a pretty good show to hate watch.

The first couple of seasons are fun...at this point the show has been a dumpster fire for a while, but I'm sticking with it till the bitter end.

I just watched the pilot episode last night. How did this show survive past the pilot? It's really extremely corny and poorly acted, directed and written. I mean just really terrible.
I'm gonna give it a couple more shows to see what i may be missing. But I really don't see myself watching the entire series.
I will say though that I'm not a big fan of vampires because usually they are shown in the same vein as this or Twilight. Just really corny and campy. I do however wish somebody would do a serious dark and gritty vampire show. I think that could be successful

That's what I did when it first came out. I gave up about halfway through season 1. The show is awful and I have literally zero comprehension of why someone would enjoy it.
