Well yeah. It's fricking Freddie and Queen dude.
Also, it makes the best scene on Ted.

Did you recently watch Ted? Is that why you are watching Flash Gordon?
I grew up on that movie and on that song. That and Queen's other epic movie theme - Highlander.
"HEEEEEEERE WE ARRRRRRRE. BORRRRN TO BE KINGS. WE'RE THE PRINCES OF THE UNIVERSE."
That is my personal song to be played when I enter a room if I had to choose one.

One of the best soundtracks, period - 100% by Queen, Scruffy.
It is one of the great terrible movies of our generation.

When I was a kid, the scene with that dude's eyes and tongue bulging out his mask so freaked me out.

Campy but awesome campy.
"Bring me the bore worms"

Yeah even though it's cheesy as hell it's been a huge influence on many cinematographers and sci-fi writers/filmmakers ever since it was released.
I'm pretty sure J.J. Abrams said it was one of his favorites.

Just finished it. It's a classic.
Cheesy as all fricking hell, but you gotta give it to anyone who stabs a guy with s spaceship.

Gotta love lesbo bondage in a kids flick.

Just a man, with a man's courage.
Nothing but a man, but he can never fail.

I loved this movie as a kid and made me a huge Queen fan.

They showed this at the Studio on the Square the other night in Memphis. My wife and I took our kids to see it. They thought it was cheesy. We thought it was awesomely so.

Flash Gordon: Although NASA scientists are claiming the unexpected eclipse and strange "hot hail" are nothing to worry about, Dr. Hans Zarkov knows better, and takes football star Flash Gordon and travel agent Dale Arden with him into space to rectify things. They land on planet Mongo, where the despot Ming the Merciless is attacking Earth out of pure boredom. With the help of a race of Hawkmen, Flash and the gang struggle to save their home planet. Most known for it's soundtrack, produced and performed by Queen

The Hawkmen were badasses.
"HAWKMEN! DIVE!"

I think Brian Blessed has gone on record as saying he more fun playing Prince Vultan then any other role in his long career. The man just looked like he was having a ball out there on the set every scene that he was in.
