I wouldn't have offered him a scholarship. His talent and character weren't up to par.

Had to be a 5* because in season 1 Voodoo was talking about how he was the best RB in the state of Texas, and probably the country. He was a Junior then... So up until his injury and when he punched that kid he had to be a 5*.

On Riggins, yeah I love how he's basically like a freshman alcoholic at the beginning of the show. Just ends up being there for FOREVER.

He wasn't in high school all 5 seasons though. I remember him trying college and then moving back home into a trailer.

Yeah, but he was starting on varsity as a Freshman on a team that was supposedly the top program in the state. He was on the team for four seasons, unless I'm mistaken. Which is possible.
Also, it always got me that they were supposedly the best team in the state but EVERY win it seemed like came in the last second or they just got blown out of the water whenever they did lose haha.

I recently watched the first few episodes the other night and they definitely are hyped as the best team in the state and Smash is definitely supposed to be a 5*
Mack fricking Brown was on the show right after he won the national title and Smash was talking about running shite at UT
