Was Californication the most "messed up" series ever?

I watched the series when it was on and now I have gone back on Netflix and watched it again. Hank Moody was one of the most fricked up "Bosses" ever. That series has some content that was not really viewable for TV. 
Loved it. Was it the most messed up series ever?

First couple of season were really good and while fricked up on so many levels, it wasn't all that unbelievable. When they got to Peter Dinklage and baby lobster hands, I was ready to check out.

Which basically sums up Ryan Murphy's entire catalogue. Starts off doing great, and then just goes completely whack job and makes everyone a mutilated homo

Californication is a really good show. It drifts a little after the first few seasons but that goes for just about every show on TV.
