I haven't watched any of the newer comic book movies outside of batman trilogy but I would 110 percent watch Mel's movie

The #1 movie in theatres right now is a Batman movie. But, hell, WB doesn't know what they're doing.

Like South Park said "Think what you want but the crazy son of a bitch knows story structure". I actually think he would do a great job.

Just a tip, if you haven't seen Blood Father watch it.

Depends on how you read them. The way Mel and I read them, they're all Jewish.

The Jews are responsible for all of the crises in the multiverse.

Harley Quinn is Jewish.
Elizabeth Kane (sister of Batwoman) is Jewish and a villain.

There were some obscure ones, but those are two current, and of course Harley is massively popular.

'Suicide Squad 2' Lands 'Legend of Tarzan' Writer

quote:

Adam Cozad, who wrote The Legend of Tarzan for Warner Bros., is in negotiations to pen the studio’s sequel to Suicide Squad. The sequel is a priority for the studio, which made overtures to several directors, including Mel Gibson. No filmmakers are currently attached and the studio is focusing on nailing down a story.

This is good. In spite of Legend of Tarzan losing its director during post-production (they pulled him off to work on Fantastic Beasts) they ended up with a good, well written story. In spite of all of the SJW problems that Tarzan has with today's audience, the writer did a good job of working around those landmines.

Mel Gibson to direct Suicide Squad 2

I'd love to watch Brooks direct a comic book movie.

The Patriot is basically a comic book movie and it's fricking awesome

Mel still has a shot! Disney just stole away Jaume Collet-Serra to direct their new Disney World ride movie.

Collet-Serra is out. Call Mel!

quote:

The good news? It's not as if Warner Bros. only looked at Jaume Collet-Serra to direct Suicide Squad 2. Previously, we had noted that the studio was also looking at Mel Gibson, Jonathan Levine, Ruben Fleischer and Daniel Espinosa as possible choices to direct the upcoming sequel. A script is already being worked on, and presumably one of the above names or someone else entirely, will be hired in short order so that Suicide Squad 2 can start getting off the ground.

Mel Gibson has basically already made awesome comic book movies with badass heros, hateful villains, fantastic sets, etc...

Look at The Road Warrior and The Patriot

I highly doubt it happens. Mel's talked alot of crap about comic book movies, it's not his thing.

I look at them and scratch my head. I'm really baffled by it. I think there's a lot of waste but maybe if I did one of those things with the green screens I'd find out different. I don't know. Maybe they do cost that much. I don't know. It seems to me that you could do it for less. If you're spending outrageous amounts of money, $180 million or more, I don't know how you make it back after the taxman gets you, and after you give half to the exhibitors. ... What did they spend on 'Batman V Superman' that they're admitting to? And it's a piece of shite.
