Additionally is this considered an underrated comedy?

I'd guess most people would put it in the Office Space realm, think Waiting is better personally...

It's great. I worked in the restaurant industry so it definitely appeals to me. I had a manager that was exactly like David Koechners character

Nothing like chain restaurants from 96-05. If you were in High School/college during that time and didn't work at Chili's, Applebee's, Bennigan's or Calendars during that time you definitely missed out. That after work party at the end of the movie is spot on.

I love this movie.

The part where the kitchen has a meltdown when the couple comes in 5 min before close is sooooo true.

Office Space is better, but Waiting is pretty close to the real deal (other than walking around with your balls out).

Worked at Red Lobster when this movie came out. It was almost like they just followed us around for a few months. Only difference was that we didn't have any high school kids working there, but the there plenty of young hostesses that got absolutely wild. So many memories (wipes single tear from eye)

I've worked in several kitchens, some good some not so good, and this movie is fairly accurate. I like how the dishwasher was the coolest guy in the back, I knew a few just like that. They weren't philosophers though.

I unfortunately worked for a terrible restaurant during that era. Local chain. Staff was terrible.

Waiting is one of my all-time comedies.

Manager: We need to seize the day everyone!

Floyd (Dane Cook): Yeah! Carpe Deez nuts! God, I can't wait to quit this job.

For all the hate he gets, he's outstanding in this movie.

Certainly isn't my favorite but I really enjoyed it. Obviously over the top, but it is incredibly spot on in so many ways.

My favorite thing about that movie was the clubhouse hidden up in the palates of shite. God that was so cool. Would totally do it if I worked at Costco or some shite
