This thing has box office bomb written all over it.

But it's Luc Besson, so it might be a cult favorite.

That is probably going to be terrible but I WILL see it on the big screen for the visuals.

I have no interest in this movie whatsoever. As the above poster said, this thing is gonna bomb so hard.

Did that really say "The visionary director of 'Lucy'"?

The Fifth Element is one of my favorite movies. I would say this looks like a spiritual successor, but the green screen in this is keeping me guarded.

ETA-Also I hate that guy's face in OP's pic

Despite the spelling..for a moment I thought it was a spin off GOT movie and was excited.

Unless I hear that it's great, I'll probably wait until it's on HBO or Netflix. Dane DeHaan irks the shite out of me -- his face is really punchable. I find Cara Delevingne very attractive for some odd reason - she's not really my type physically.

The early reviews range from amazing to worst thing ever.

Pretty typical for this kind of movie. I expect it to be fantastic but tank in the box office because people are fricking stupid in general.

Regal has been showing behind the scenes crap for this movie before the real trailers start for months now. I usually like to get to the theater a little early so I can see all of the trailers and not feel rushed, but it has gotten really old seeing the same shite for this movie every time I go.

I was hoping that it would be good. Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan are coming off of some badly received movies. Would suck if they have to take another hit.

It has an OK tomato rating and a couple of critics that I like gave it good reviews.

It is going to tank because the ad campaign has been as bad as the one for John Carter.

I'm going to like it. It looks like it is right up my alley.

The Fifth Element

I really enjoyed The Fifth Element. It was great theater experience as well. But, it was only a moderate success in the U.S. and probably only because Bruce Willis was one of the biggest stars in the industry back then. It was a much bigger hit overseas and this movie will probably have to hope for the same.

It will tank due to being released the same weekend as Dunkirk, no marketable stars, and its not sequel/reboot/super hero movie.

I really want to see this, got a avatar vibe from it from the trailers...but yeah, it's gonna tank.

But Fifth Element is GOAT far as late 90s sci-fi moves. Saw that shite like 5 times in theaters between tinseltown and Essen 8 back in its heyday.

I'm going to see it.

A lot of what I'm reading is very encouraging.

Basically:
The Fifth Element->Valerian is like Willow->LOTR.
