Anybody still giving Cage another pass?

We all know the story in Jaws. Was timidly excited for this.

But going through the motions. And Remember when Mario Van Peebles was the next big thing? New Jack City?

This movie looks somewhat like Unbroken but is just all over the place. How difficult is it to introduce a few characters before you stick them on a life-raft? It's not B-movie bad, but worse, dull.

And they jump from the Americans in the water to scenes of a Japanese soldier staring at a candle-lit picture of Pai Mei.

There was a perfectly fine movie about this story that aired as a miniseries, I think, about 25 years ago. No reason another movie was needed for this story that has already been told.

The way the sharks attacked the survivors was ridiculous, this whole movie sucked. Seemed like they were trying to copy the Pearl Harbor plot at the end.

I watched this a few weeks ago and was very disappointed. Nic Cage was wrong for this part and stood out similar to Vince Vaughn in hacksaw ridge.

Acting was terrible. Half the story was a cheesy WW2 movie and half was cheesy Jaws ripoff. I agree not enough character development. I love the story of the USS Indianapolis but was very disappointed.

There was a good documentary about it a few years ago as well. Honestly, seeing cage in a movie nowadays just makes me automatically skip it. His shitty acting used to be funny, kind of like William Shatner, but now it's just beyond impossible to watch.
