Christopher Nolan's magnum opus garnered over $28 million at the domestic box office, edging out The Emoji Movie at $25 million.

Dunkirk has surpassed the $100 million mark at the domestic box office and now has over $200 million in worldwide box office receipts. While not Transformers-esque numbers, Nolan has established himself as a proven box office commodity and Dunkirk will most assuredly be in play at the Oscars next year.

And without any women or monority roles. I think we found our framework for success.

The Emoji Movie has the Tomatometer strongly against it though. Parents check that shite out and if they see it's a single digit percentage, they're not going to take the kids.

Love that I get 3 down votes when box office totals are a joke at this point. Every year there is some new movie that breaks the previous years total.

But WW2 movie so means so much shite, lol. Nobody will really remember this movie around this time.next year.

It's become readily apparent parents don't check out shite with the #s that Emoji movie is doing.

Parents don't care; just a place where the kids will shut-up in the dark for a couple of hours.
