I agree. I'm not sure why they wrote him off so quickly. That actor hasn't done anything that I can think of.

I agree. I have said in a few threads that I actually thought he was good. I liked his humor.

Recently I have been thinking about maybe leaving this job, but I felt like I needed a sign. And then Ann broke up with me the week I was going to propose, the government got shut down and yesterday one of those pigeons took an [expletive] on me. And I was indoors, so...

I'm a huge Brandanawitz guy. Wish they would've brought him back for the finale

His removal allowed for two of P&Rs best characters to come into the picture of Chris tragger and Ben Wyatt

Agreed, he added some normalcy to the show that was needed and the show suffered when he left. I'd much rather him on the show than the flakes that came later.

The first season was my favorite which also seems to be a pretty unpopular opinion.

When he was telling the story of his face being on fire at camp to Justin and then he says it didn't happen to him but another kid and the way he says it gets me every time.

He kind of evened that cast out. Loved the bit w/ him and hot arse Shauna Malwae-Tweep. They got rid of him and went w/ the truly horrible human being Leslie Nope figure. Great show that went downhill big time.

read an article yesterday that his character was always supposed to leave but get another job in government and come back periodically but that never happened.

The actor apparently didn't want to come back. Wanted to focus on a movie career

That's cause he was the only normal character on the show

I guess Anne Perkins too

by most accounts I've read from interviews, he wanted to leave the show.

Is that why you left 'Parks and Recreation'?

That experience was very strange for me. You know, I signed up for a specific character that was changed in mid-season. And it became a character with a lot less to do. And, all of a sudden, I was kind of confused and kind of having a lot less to do.

When you first left, Mike Schur mentioned that you might come back now and then. I get the impression that's not going to happen.

No, I'm not interested in going back. And that's very generous of him. But I've never been contacted about that nor have I any interest in going back.

Is this a safe space to share our own unpopular P&R opinions, or are we only allowed to talk about Mark Brendanawicz?

I was watching Billy on the Street before Billy Eichmer guest starred as Craig on P&R. I didn't love Craig by any stretch, but knowing Eichner from his own show, the character made sense and didn't irk me as much as it irked some others.

I think Andy is a bit overrated and over the top in an Eric Matthews during the college years of Boy Meets World kind of way. Sometimes the stupidity was just so unbelievable I couldn't enjoy it.
