Who would have thought the daughter on The Bill Engvall show would win an Oscar five years later?

Jamie Foxx winning an Oscar after being on The Jamie Foxx for five years and 100 episodes was a shock. I never thought a star from a bad UPN show would go on to have the success that he did.

Big Hair, pants-suits and a lot of women casts...yep, that was TV in the late 80's.

George Clooney got himself noticed on the set of a really bad B-movie horror flick called Return to Horror High.

Also...Rene Zellwegger and Matthew McConaughey both starred in the straight-to-video Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation.

And even the lovable Tom Hanks was first noticed on the set of a B-movie horror flick called He Knows You're Alone.

Wasn't Roseanne pretty highly regarded though during its time? That show won a bunch of Emmys and had a number of respected character actors and future stars on its show like John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Estelle Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Sarah Chalke. It's hard to call Roseanne a terrible show.

Not that the show was terrible by any means, but look what Freaks and Geeks did for just about everyone on there!

Hanks on Bosom Buddies was my first thought, as well. Although I never regarded that as a terrible show.

Ryan Gosling- Young Hercules

Peter Jackson actually got his start working on the sets of a few of the old Trauma films

Jeremy Renner was Dags on National Lampoon's Senior Trip, not that it's a terrible movie just your basic 90s cheesy 90s high school comedy

Clooney was also on Return of the Killer Tomato's Watched this a month ago and had a WTF moment when he's one of the main characters.

That's a good one. I never thought Young Hercules would turn out to be such a good actor.
