I am actually enjoying it... Sure there is a lot to be desired, but the premise of the show is pretty awesome

I am too. It's a new type of show, there's not really anything like it.

It is not great, but not terrible. Better than most of the disappointing shows this summer.

Agreed, they are setting up the script for Bassem to be El Jefe (although he is an absolutely terrible actor IMO). Should get interesting once Jamail gets unseated.
They really need to work on their fire scenes though. It's a crappy job done in Adobe After Effects and it's turrible.

Prediction: "Barry" becomes the ruler... ends up with Leila in some form or fashion... brings peace to the country...then becomes more ruthless than his father after his wife/kids/etc are brutally murdered.

Jamal is a weak, weak man terrified he'll end up with a bayonet up the poop-chute, the child who cowered under a car seat rather than pop a cap in the arse of the terrorist who just tried to blow up his father. Bassam OTOH is the kid who calmly popped that cap just to get everyone to STFU.
Jamal doesn't even particularly want the job. He'd like to go back to driving like a maniac while getting blowjobs (but minus the deadly syringes and dick-biting). He has little confidence in his own judgment and is willing to trust his brother more than himself and his advisors, who he seems to understand are the old guard and may have not have the best ideas for the modern world.
So while I get the criticism, I think there's ample basis for his behavior.

Wait, let me get this straight. You didn't enjoy watching a 15 year old boy get head from that dude? WTF was that about? Apparently it's been shot in Israel and supposed to be a confluence of a few different countries (none to be named as to not offend). The concept is cool, but the acting will sink this show.
