Nah, not really.

The Road Warrior looks visually amazing, but no real want to see either.

Well first response and the thunder is gone.

I'm looking forward to Poltergeist. The original(and its sequels) scared the hell out of me when I was young. I'm hoping the remake captures a little bit of the essence of the original

I saw the poltergeist preview it looks pretty good. It does have some modern day scare tactics. I saw where some one gets yanked down the hallway aka the haunting or possession style. Of course the freaky clown is back also.

frick that damn clown and his extendo arms!

actually, the part that always freaked me out the most in those movies was in Poltergeist 2 when the little brother's braces attack him.

My problem with Poltergeist is that most iconic horror movies that get remade suck royally. Here's a list of some and I'm not considering TV remakes:

The Thing
The Omen
Halloween
Halloween 2
Psycho
Carrie
The Wicker Man
The Amityville Horror
Black Christmas
The Fog
Friday the 13th
Nightmare on Elm Street
Texas Chainsaw Massacre

ETA: Some did work out pretty well:

Fright Night
The Hills Have Eyes
Evil Dead
Dawn of the Dead

But those are rare.

The Road Warrior previews look like the original with a Fast & Furious slant. Will wait & see it when it comes on one of my cable stations, unless I hear it's more than just a bunch of action scenes.

Really waiting to hear what this board and friends that see everything say about both.
