Twin peaks fans get ready for a 2 hour season premiere after 25 years of dormancy.

Head of showtime calling it the "pure heroin" version of David Lynch that rewards "close watching. 18 total hours to come this year.

I just started season two of Twin Peaks. I'm glad I'll have plenty time to finish before this new show.

If you have Showtime they have seasons 1 and 2 On-Demand currently. I started season 1 this past weekend and hope to have both seasons complete before the new season premieres.

Do your self a favor and watch both seasons then watch the movie fire walk with me. There is a very distinct culture inside the twin peaks world and you'll be lost.

Season two really falls off. Season One was groundbreaking. I feel sorry for all of you folks that missed the network run. Twin Peaks + Desert Storm t.v. was amazing back in the late summer fall of '90. Constant great shite to watch on t.v.

I would say at least half of season 2 is on par with 1.

I don't compare this show to others. I compare others to it. It's part northern exposure...part film noir...part comedy...part x files...all David lynch.

Yeah, that is about as good an explanation as you're going to get about a show that is unexplainable. I would add part soap opera w/in a soap opera (the running soap that Shelly constantly watches is hilarious).

Weellll, I know what I'll be watching. Thanks for the heads up.

I watched some of the show during the original run, but that was a long time ago and I doubt I got much at that age. I remember the craze it set off after the first season, with people dressing up as the log lady for Halloween and stuff.

I was a huge fan of the original, but man, I am dubious about this. Maybe because David Lynch hasn't done anything great in 10+ years, or the fact that the original series had some of the sexiest women on earth and a couple of them have aged horribly.

Yeah, it could possibly be a let down. Hope not. And give me vintage Madchen over Sherilyn any ol day, btw.
