Great episode. Season is picking up steam now. Really interested to see what transpired between Velcoro and Frank back in the day with his wife's attacker

I think she's supposed to be likeable, yet she's difficult to like. I wonder if she's in on something with Blake. Probably not, but it's crossed my mind.

In a sense, this is how I feel about all the characters. I can't put my finger on any of them. In Seeason 1, the characters were immediately fleshed out and you knew about them...you understood their struggles, their weaknesses, their hiccups, and you pulled for them. In S2 I just have no idea what to think. I don't even know if I follow the plot at all.

It's her mouth, huh? I liked her in Flight and I like her in this...maybe I have a DS fetish.

Something is stroke-y about her. I can't figure it out though. Some kind of palsy or some shite.

Seems like Frank handed him the wrong guy and CF offed an innocent dude.

Has anyone actually figured out the purpose of Kitsch's character for this season?

rue, but how plausible is it that he's even capable of tying his shoes in the morning if he's that clueless? Are they portraying him as an idiot?

Hell, an 8 year old would be able to figure it out.

frank just gave him some guy so that Velcoro would be indebted to him. pretty cool twist if you ask me

What are you waiting to see? They just Layed it out for you. VV gave him the wrong guy...most likely one of his own enemies..get an angry cop to do your dirty work.

Yup no way VV can get in any heat over it, plus he gets to off one of his competitors or just add a cop to his payroll for life basically.

I think this was supposed to be Pizz's version of "Chinatown" and when HBO gave the green light for season two with a summer premiere he scrambled to make it stretched out to 8 episodes

This would have made an interesting movie in the hands of the right director. What it is now is a gumbo of writer ideas and characters stirred up into a pot. There are too many angles, too many characters, too much plot and add in the vision of different directors and the show is a mess.

This would have been better as a movie or as an HBO series with a much simpler plot and fewer characters directed by one person.

I think the last episode tied together much more nicely than any of the others in this season.

too many characters

agreed. But just 1 too many IMO. Pauly doesn't even need to be on the show. Unless they somehow tie him into all this other shite, his character and plot line is just extra and too much. I'm fine with everything else.

I'll say again though, the writing is too much. A run-down cop from Vinci shouldn't speak so eloquently. It feels forced and reminds me I'm watching actors on a show. It's hard to get emotionally invested because the verbiage they use is just unrealistic for the types of characters being portrayed.

Seems like they took the exact opposite of Woody's character from last season. Oh hey this guy is from Louisiana and he is more simple minded than the guys from Cali so lets make them seem a little more sophisticated.

I didn't think about that.

Marty was witty. Valcaro (?) comes across like a former lit professor who made a wrong turn somewhere.

If he wasn't in this show, it'd be 10000x better. He's a pointless character with bad acting and worse writing.

Did they need to put "gay closeted angst" in there for no reason? If it had plot significance, awesome, but it has no value. Its just a distraction. And his acting is so bad.
