I was always fascinated with Gundam Wing. For a kids show it had lots of international relations, foreign policy, and military espionage type stuff. It was way more complex and layered than it could have been, I loved it.

Those early teaser promos for Tenchi Muyo were great and then the show itself had a great mix. Tenchi Muyo was a very underrated anime that gets dragged down because Tenchi Universe and Tenchi in Tokyo were not as good (Tenchi in Tokyo was horrid) and then when they finally wrapped up Tenchi with Ryo-Ohki it just seemed really rushed.

Toonami was so amazing all around. From before they played anime and just had classic action cartoons to early anime/cartoon mix, to full anime blocks. Those guys typically did a great job picking shows.

Didn't it come on at 4:00 or 4:30? I had my vcr set to auto tape every day because I didn't get home until around 5:00 from school.

And again on weekends at 10 or 11pm at night.

Never seen it

I don't watch a ton of anime haha. I've only seen 9-10 series probably.

This + Endless Waltz was the only anime other than DBZ I have ever been able to get into. I tried watching other iterations of Gundam, but they never clicked.

The only other Gundam anime I liked was the one where like each country had it's own gundam and pilot and they participated in some tournament and whomever won was the ruler of the world

I just remember the way the gundam's were designed for each country were SO stereotypical.

Like this was the gundam for Mexico

I feel like they stopped the series at Goku beating Racoom for like 2 years. It was brutal.

Agreed, I never could get into another show besides Dragonball, Gundam Wing, and Ronin Warriors far behind those two.

I tried to watch other Gundam shows, but couldn't get into them at all.
