Anyone watched this on Netflix? The full title is Tony Robbins: I am Not Your Guru

It is crazy to watch. Maybe it is just me but I find this so uncomfortable. I could never buy into this stuff. Not everything he has to say is bullshite but he isn't saying anything that hasn't been said before. I don't see any real breakthroughs but the audience starts going apeshit and everyone begins crying and then these people think their problems are solved. Wonder how they feel when they go back home to their regular life?

I suppose he could have done worse and gone to start a cult or something. I guess he isn't hurting anyone but why are these people so willing to listen to him?

I started watching it because some idiot on here recommended it.

It made me very uncomfortable - a lot of kumbaya bullshite. Everyone at his conference had a mental health issue. I bet you could slay puss there though, with all those crazy chicks.

He had a conference here in dallas last month and when they did the hot coal walk at the end everyone got severely burned. Lol

They had like 200+ people with severe burns.

What a crook

The first scene where he has that interaction with that one sad sack with the short-cropped hair was pretty powerful to me, but as the film progressed I quickly grew disinterested and stopped about 30 mins in.

I forget the name of the phenomenon, but you see it a lot with bigger crowds and infectious people. It's the same reason people give their life savings to televangelists and shite.

I believe they said the people didn't do something that was supposed to keep them from getting burned, some people were walking slowly so they could take selfies, etc. who knows though

I heard he can make fat ugly girls appear hot. Did they touch on that at all?

He got some girl to call her BF and dump him in front of the whole room

That sort of thing is not for me, I'm pretty self motivated, but I think he's very good at what he does and its a useful service.

I turned it off after the 1st scene when he started dropping F-Bombs to the slightly downs kid. Telling him how f-ing awesome he was...

So I suffered through this tonight after seeing this thread and just to see how big of a sham TR really is. Dude strictly plays off of emotion. Any good con man knows how to do it. Use some good music, have your workers find some good heart wrenching stories and use those people to stir more emotion. People fork over big money for that experience. Heck they pay him 5k a pop.

Then the suicidal girl who grew up in the COG cult. TR is in no way qualified to help a woman who has experienced years I'd molestation.
