Anyone else disappointed in the first season of Jessica Jones?

The last four episodes could have easily been condensed into two. Maybe even one. The amount of times Kilgrave escaped after being caught was absurd. It made the ending thin, and when she finally snapped his neck, I was more relieved to be done with the show than excited to see the hero win.

Perhaps it's because I'm a male, but I didn't feel that Kilgrave was that great of a villain. I've read that he embodied the awful characteristics of both an abusive rapist and psychotic ex-boyfriend. Women that have been traumatized by such men were able to relate to JJ's internal struggle with dealing with Kilgrave.

For me, Kilgrave was a petulant a-hole who could have been put down a while back. I get that JJ wanted to save Hope, but in a universe that has had aliens, The Hulk, Thor, Captain America, and Loki's scepter, it shouldn't have been too hard to convince a jury that with so many witnesses against Kilgrave that Hope was innocent.

Also, why did it take so long to figure out head phones? And a sniper could have taken out Kilgrave as soon as JJ decided it was time for him to die.

I think there's potential for the future of the show. I was really intrigued early on with JJ's detective skills. Hopefully season 2 is about her investigating IGH and setting up the Defenders series. Not being so focused on her internal emotions with Kilgrave will really help the show develop into something more substantial.

All your arguments are invalid.

Kilgrave is one of the most memorable villains I've seen in recent years. The rest of the show is just ok for me.

I thought Kilgrave was the best part of the show.

Just about to post that. Loki was/is phenomenal in the MCU. I really hope he plays a central role in Ragnarok as well.

Me too. Love Hiddleston as Loki.
He's got to play a role in it b/c i'm pretty sure he's the actual king of Asgard right now, but no one knows that yet.

Not disappointed in the show at all, but I will acknowledge that the season probably could have been two episodes shorter.

It did drag toward the end. I don't think it tripped at the finish line, but it crossed the finish line completely exhausted, so to speak.

Overall, though, I really enjoyed the show. No other real complaints.

This is how I felt as well. It seemed that the last few episodes really just went in circles. I will also agree that Kilgrave was by far my favorite part of the show. My least favorite was the super cop guy. I just thought the guy playing him was terrible. I guess he may have been playing him properly, but I never heard of Jessica Jones before watching the show.

Also, one thing about the finale that really bothered me. You have Patty perform this awesome plan with headphones on where it looks like she is Jessica, then you completely ruin it by having Jessica show herself on the balcony. It completely wasted the point of Patty going in there under disguise in the first place.

*I apologize for calling her Patty. I can't remember her actual name.

I thought it drug on a little too long myself. I was really enjoying myself. I dug the lack of traditional straight line narration and escalation. I liked the moral dilemmas in the characters, but the problem was every fricking character had a moral dilemma. I got to the point where I stopped giving a crap because it seemed everyone in the show was a piece of shite with their own agenda/something to prove. There was very little to separate one character from the next.

I didn't care much for Kingpin. I found him to be pretty boring.

I'm a huge Dinefario (sp) fan, but that was not his best role.
