This is true.

I'm wondering if him breaking his leg is somehow related to Jack's death, though.

Curious what everyone's least favorite character is?

For me it's Toby and Kate. Never have liked them. Just feels forced and I hate Toby's stupid over the top humor

Kate bugs the ever-living shite out of me. To be portrayed by an actress as big as a dumpster, she has ZERO depth.

When Jack went to see Rebecca when she was performing, was it Kate who encouraged that? I'm trying to remember.

Someone mentioned in a post about Rebecca taking Jack to rehab. When did that happen? Now, I'm thinking somehow he burned down the house and didn't die, but she took him to rehab and the rehab didn't allow him to keep his personal possessions so those are in the plastic bag on the seat of the car. In the bag, I can see a wedding band, a watch which doesn't appear to be burned and looks to have a leather band, and car keys. I can't tell of the notepad is in the bag or under it. Plus, why would there even be a notepad?

I feel like if he died, she wouldn't be by herself driving from picking up his possessions and that she would be a lot more upset while driving. While the kids are crying, I think they would be a lot more upset if they'd found out Jack was dead. I think they only found out the house burned and Jack had something to do with it due to drinking and went to rehab. Also, if Jack was dead, I don't think they'd be sitting around and, then, just suddenly Kate would realize they needed to find Kevin. I think someone would have been actively looking for him immediately.

Well, that's my new theory.

Well, it's Skinnyist to hate on her, because Kate defenders immediately assume it's because of her weight. Like a person who doesn't like her character is incapable of evaluating Kate on the merits of the portrayal.

I picked up on a rewatch of the pilot that she blames the majority of the weight gain on antidepressants she went on to cope with Jack's death, but every. single. fricking. thing revolves around her weight, with her. She makes it impossible to focus on anything but.

Randall doesn't blame a damned thing on being the only black person in the family, but it would be the very same thing that Kate does each episode, if he did.

My new theory is out the window. I hadn't read any articles when I thought of it.

I hope they don't do some shite to where Jack and Becca are separated and Jack finds out Miguel is slipping Becca the Mexican burrito behind his back causing him to fall off the wagon

I think if this happened, Jack wouldnt be quite the hero to his kids as they act like he is....

Him dying because he was hammered and somehow burned the house down is no hero move.

He probably went back in to save the dog. Dog survived, but he didn't, I guess.

Kate for sure, it's like they were just trying to make the body image crowd happy. She's terrible. I also hate Miguel. If your best friend dies in a fire and you're the one to comfort his kids, maybe don't start banging his wife. If you do, then you should be set ablaze as well.

Wasn't she supposed to be dropping all that weight during the off season? Hell, it looks like she added another 25#s.

I feel you. However, they have said by the end you will gain a lot of respect for him. It will be interesting to see if they succeed in that.

Completely disagree. Depending on how they tell the story. If you are single. This thing happens and you end up helping pick up the pieces. You have no wife. No kids. You're there all the time. Just hooking up could easily happen. If enough time had passed and you aren't too guilty? I would not pass up a chance.

We are talking for wife purposes only. Just banging? Never. But if you actually loved the person? Why not.

By the way. GodDAMN this show. Has me talking like a fricking woman.

I may not weigh as much as kate but i totally relate to her. I spend an insane amount of time obsessing about my weight.

I don't get the Miguel hate. At this point, we have no idea how they got together and he really cared about Jack.

I just watched the episode. I get Kate on a certain level. If you've ever been the fat person in the room, you understand she is practically invisible. A lot of heavier people tend to develop big personalities in order to be noticed. Add in an attractive brother who already has the personality, and you don't have anything to develop. She's just a large shadow.
