Bump. Despite the over the top, inauspicious start Ep. 2 delivered. There's all the runway and actors for a fantastic crash and burn. Hope it keeps delivering.

Daft Pope.

It's interesting how they're playing this pope. He is intensely inconsistent in both his personal and religious views. Looking forward to see how he pulls it together.

Also looking forward to the reveal on how he garnered the votes needed to become pope

Is he? He is brash, and doesn't dish out a lot of respect, but he seems pretty consistent to me.

How creepy/captivating was his address to the cardinals? Law is absolutely slaying this role.

The Holy Spirit breathed, broseph. Even his doubters know it to be true now.

Last night was really good. Lenny is God's vengeance on the Catholic church.

Episode 6 is tonight. Don't forget.

He is both a traditionalist and a revolutionary. He talks about the ridiculousness of organized religion while putting his boot on the necks of his flock to bring them back into the fold. He doubts the existence of God and begs for forgiveness from the same nebulous being. He's arrogant and he's humble. he loves and forsakes those closest to him.

He's a damn inconsistent character.

So, the season finale was the other night and a season 2 is supposedly going to happen as well. Which is interesting, because I thought we were only going to see 10 episodes total.

Overall, I think sticking with this show really paid off for me especially in the last two episodes.

TYP is not for everybody especially if you like fast moving action, but I really enjoyed it. Kind of a odd, artsy type show that definitely turned out as a win for HBO.

I watched episode one and didn't start watching again until episode six was out.

Now that I'm caught up, it was well worth it.
