LINK

I am a bit of a sucker for americana....and new england, 17th century culture is definitely under that banner.

I'm seeing this on friday. All my hardcore horror friends who have seen it early are absolutely raving about it.

Not too many reviews in yet but it is currently at 88% on RT.

I have heard a lot of good things but these types of horror films never do it for me. Possession or witchcraft or anything dealing with spirits is not in any way scary for me because it is so unrealistic. I don't believe in any of that stuff. It doesn't mean it can't be a good movie, it just wont be a scary movie to me.

Witchcraft, demons, and devil worship scares the shite out of me. It's real stuff that doesn't scare me. I would never pull over to pick up a hitch hiker and if a guy broke in my house, he would immediately regret it. But that's just me.

I'm the same. Some douche with a knife doesn't scare me but a bitch with a spinning head, talking some demon nonsense will keep me up at night.

Don't worry about me. I find plenty of other things I like and that I do find horrifying. I will admit that Blair Witch scared the living crap out of me when I was younger. Probably had a lot to do with being younger and the way it was filmed made it more believable. The marketing for that movie was genius at the time.

The scariest movie I ever saw was High Tension. I am scared that kind of shite could really happen. No thanks!!

Last horror film I've watched in theaters was "It Follows" and that was a fun one. In terms of fear factor, I hope this one surpasses it.

Man that was dissapointing as hell. Unbearably slow with not much of a payoff at the end and the characters speech is very hard to understand. Scariest part is at the very beginning

Really starting to believe it's impossible to be truly scared these days
