I think the talent is great this season.

I'm just glad they don't show weirdo Carson as much as they used to.

Yeah, I've hardly noticed Carson this season, thank goodness.

I haven't decided how good the talent is this season. I get more of a feel during knock outs.

I think the battle rounds are really tough to evaluate people unless they are exceptional or are just terrible. Everyone in the middle just kind of runs together trying to force a song into a duet and share with another singer.

I just think the battle rounds are terrible to begin with, though.

Despite that, frick the producers for skipping right over three of them.


As for Tuesday night... Keith was pretty good, definitely reminds me of Terry from season 3. Not surprised that no one took Manny, he's good, but he's not the demographic that can win.

I was actually excited for the second battle, since the song is a duet, but Krista really didn't hold up her end. She was one of my favorites from the blind auditions, but that just wasn't good.

Then three that we barely got to see! Which likely means those people are all going to get cut next round.

The young girl in the last battle really surprised me, she has a powerful voice. She might go far... a little surprised that two coaches tried to steal the loser, I wasn't all that impressed with her.

I just listened to a few of their songs, I really like them.

As for the battles last night... Blind Joe was great, I could really see him doing well. Definitely surprised that Adam stole Blaine, I think he could do better, but whatever.

Viktor was an easy choice, he could go far as well.

Chase got screwed with that song choice, plus it seemed like that battle featured Korin twice as much as him.

Evan is really good, Riley was surprising, but she was one of the ones they skipped over in blind auditions, so we had nothing to go on. Glad she was stolen.

Braiden was another easy choice.

Andi & Alex were also an easy choice as much as they made it seem otherwise. Chance deserved a steal as well, glad he's still in.

I'm glad the battle rounds are almost over.

I agree, they should have been stolen based on potential... but that performance by them was pretty bad. I didn't think Blaine was all that good either, but he's moving on anyway.

Braiden impressed me, even though that song should officially be retired from all singing competitions. I liked Ellie before, but she was awful, and Cool For The Summer was a terrible song choice. She probably knew she had no chance after Braiden performed though.

I didn't like Barrett or Blind Joe as much as in the blind auditions, I think both could have gone far. I was a little surprised that no one stole Blind Joe, I think he would have been worth a steal.

Amy vs. Madi was good, really like both of them. I think Pharell kept Madi because he knew that Amy was going to be stolen.

Chance sucked it up, and Yvonne had a great performance, easy decision for Blake on that one.

Jordan is amazing, he's one of the few artists on this show that I can remember legitimately looking forward to. Adam screwed up pairing Viktor with him. They could both end up making the finals.
