Caught up on the last two shows last night.
Seriously? I thought she was awesome...she sang that song amazingly.
Not much that stood out really. Some good performances, but nothing too mindblowing.
The boy band dude was awful, but hilarious to watch. Glad nobody turned around though.
I actually thought the Colorado dude last night sang Bob Marley did a good job.
But fricking frick NBC for showing all of the completely irrelevant backstories and then blast through 3 (fricking THREE!!!!!!!) people who got picked in about 45 seconds. What the frick? One thing you have to do on a show like this is show everybody that got picked...let the audience see and hear the contestants. That's a fricking MUST. Don't show us ignorant backstory on people that nobody gives a shite about and the not have enough time and have to rush through three chosen contestants. That's bullshite.
And get Carson fricking Daly out of the family rooms please. He's feigning excitement and it's not only stupid, but kinda disrespectful...he doesn't have the same thing riding on these auditions as the contestants and their families do.

I also noticed (maybe not last night, I don't remember, but definitely during the first 2) that they showed backstories for people that didn't even make it. It was bizarre. It's like them saying, "Here's everything you need to know about this guy...and now you'll never see him again."

That was the first song I added to Itunes this morning...Though it's hard to beat Buckley's version , but it was really really good

I agree that I was miffed when we didn't get to see some of those picked perform first. What's the point of the auditions being televised? I'd rather see who's picked than who isn't.
I thought Halleluja woman was good, but that song is done often and I didn't think she stood out from many others I've heard. She's got some pipes, but I thought she had a few rough spots. I didn't get the raving over it. Reminded me of Stacy Francis who ended up bombing out on XFactor, eventually. I have the same feeling about this woman.

When he told Carson that he's going to sing that I nearly threw my cup of water at the TV... DUMB idea.
He's got a good voice too, but you can't go on a show like this and sing a "1 hit wonder" song, ESPECIALLY YOUR OWN 1 HIT WONDER!
