That is three.
Lady In The Water, a movie I thoroughly enjoyed btw, definitely had a twist when it turned out all of the roles were incorrectly assigned.

Signs had a twist at the end. You find out the aliens are the stupidest damn things ever and the whole movie was a waste of time.

I bet they are ghosts the whole time

After Earth or Avatar
I really enjoyed Unbreakable, Sixth Sense, Signs (saw 3 times in the theater), The Village, and Lady in the Water. I refused to see The Happening.
Avatar began to diminish my desire to see M. Night films and After Earth demolished it.

At the end of the Sixth Sense you find out that was Bruce Willis the whole time dude

"Oh, yeah, yeah, like-like in TheSixth Sense, you find out that the dude, um, in that hairpiece the whole time-- that's Bruce Willis the whole movie."

I was trying to determine if the water thing and the death bed hallucination from the wife proving prophetic was actually a twist. The water thing was stupid, but I didn't let that ruin the movie for me.

You are way over thinking that. I simply enjoyed thinking it was a true middle-ages village the entire time and the totally unexpected twist at the end. I appreciate that isn't for everyone, but I liked it, own it, and have watched 4 or 5 times.

Yeah that could be the case, I went into the movie already knowing the twist because a friend of mine told me

I appreciate your attempt at movie elitism, but Paul Blart 2 has a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes while Signs is sitting at 74%. It was a well received movie and I know a lot of people that loved it.

I love how people attack Signs because they outsmarted the director about water on Earth. They disprove why the aliens would be on Earth in the first place, therefore no movie.
Their argument is a strawman, however. And an even simpler explanation to show that makes these moviegoers lose their entire argument.
In Signs it explains the aliens have a strong aversion to water. Not water vapor or rain, but things like lakes. Why is that? Because their suits cannot handle water in that concentration, but can handle it in small amounts.
Kind of like...say, our skin to heat. We can handle ambient air temperatures on hot days, but we can't go up and stand in lava.
Easy. Explained.

And about plot twists...
Where does it come a point where the plot twist is just a plot driver?
I would argue everything that happens in Signs is a plot driver. Keep in mind that there are many many flashbacks, and this only makes sense. They learn about things from the wreck and see them become fulfilled in the present.
In The Village, the real plot twist comes about 2/3rds into the movie, and isn't really a big reveal at all, but in fact a real important decision for the community and it's continuation from the sole act of one woman, and a special man. It was a secret that had to be told and was crucial to the story.
The Sixth Sense is really the only true plot twist because it changes the entire view of the story after the reveal, and the reveal comes that late in the film.
I don't think Unbreakable has a plot twist because it is really the beginning or framework for the full realization of a superhero/nemesis rivalry. It had to be done.
Lastly, in the Lady in the Water the characters realize their roles are not right when carrying out a plan, then they realize the true way when they finally really start to believe in what the fairy tale visitor has to say. That's not a twist, that is an updated plan. That's like saying every action movie has a plot twist when something doesn't go according to plan and they have to improvise.
Using that logic, MacGyver hass a plot twist every episode. It's a dumb argument.
All this being said, The Sixth Sense is the only true plot twist. And it worked. And M. Night is a good story teller, and you guys are mad that there weren't any more twists, but you were looking so hard for one, so you forged some fake ones yourself, and since you forged them you knew what would happen, so you claim now you're smarter than the director, but you're not, you just followed your own logic, which wasn't entirely truthful what the director wanted. Now you're pissed that you haven't had a good twist in a while, because there's really only been one, and you hate M. Night, or don't give him enough credit for his initial run of films (Sixth Sense to Lady in the Water [I argue is his best film]).
There you have it.

They came for food, and almost all food on Earth has a very large portion of water as it's component. We may as well have invaded cyanide planet for food. It's stupid.

The Visit
The Happening
The Last Airbender
The Village
The Sixth Sense
I've always hated movies that began with "The". This movie will suck.

Are the kids named Hansel and Gretel?
And WHY more found footage elements? Laziness? Saving on cinematography costs??
