Saw it on Hulu the other day - great movie with Walter Matthau and Robert Shaw. Captures mid '70s NYC perfectly, including characters, settings, attitudes, and what a mess NYC was back then. A terrific battle of wits between Shaw & Matthau. With an awesome music score by David Shire.
Now they're doing a remake, scheduled to come out July '09 with Denzel Washington and John Travolta. UGH! That makes two Matthau movies with inferior remakes.

Damn they just did a made for tv remake of this back in 98' how many damn remakes do they need?
