Quite a few have said they were pleasantly surprised. It looked so cartoonish in previews, but I'll tune in atleast to start!

Looking forward to it. Reviews look good From what I've read the director's goal is to get people to understand why it wasn't a slam dunk for the prosecution.

Well the actual case was filled with cartoon characters. Kardashian, Kaelin, Cochran.

Apparently it's completely faithful to the known facts and what was laid out in the novel. On review said verging on documentary with little/no fictional dramatization

Ryan Murphy makes Shapiro gay with OJ, it'll be a stretch for travolta but I think he can pull it off

. Don't need to see the dramatized version and I dont feel like reliving a stupid jury descision.

The prosecution and the police bungled that case so badly that the jury decision wasn't a surprise. People argue it was based on race, but that wasn't my belief. I knew they left too many questions and doors open. The only thing that could have saved that case was finding that picture of OJ in the Bruno Magli shoes. THEN, if the jury didn't convict in spite of all the bungling, I would have questioned the decision. I don't know why they didn't find pictures of him in the shoes. I don't even know if they looked or how hard they looked. Under 300 of those shoes in OJ's size had ever been sold in the US at the time.

How do they explain his blood everywhere that it could possibly be to incriminate him? And at the very least, it proves that OJ is one of at maximum 300 people who could have killed her.

Sorry, but as much as the prosecution bumbled the case, it comes all down to race. You don't deliberate a year long trial for 4 hours and pronounce him innocent. That should take days. It entirely came down to race and at best they were frightened of returning to their neighborhoods having convicted OJ.

Apparently some very chilling 911 recordings from Nicole Brown Simpson are available on the internet? Is this true?

Yeah, but it was a different incident when OJ beat the shite out of her. Wasn't from the night that he killed her and Goldman. You can find it on YouTube.

This may be something that requires research and analysis, but why do we think that black folks were so excited about his acquittal, even though he obviously killed those people?

Perhaps it was seen as some kind of twisted form of reparations for past injustices?

Edit: found the below article that I linked. The (black, female) author seems to conclude that OJ's acquittal was NOT reparations

I think the LA Riots that happened 2 years before had a lot to do with it. People in LA and other cities with a large black population were scarred shitless of what would happen when OJ was pronounced guilty. I can't say I blame the members of the jury for being terrified of returning home with OJ getting the chair.

I blame Judge Ito, who is probably the single most incompetent judge in American history. This case should have lasted no more than a month, but he dragged it out for a whole fricking year, which led to the jury letting OJ off within 4 hours to go party at Stabingham with him later that evening. I'm shocked Ito didn't unleash a harakiri knife right on the stand as soon as the jury read "Not Guilty".
