Thought that was actually pretty cool. Always wished I could make something like that with my ninja turtles and GI Joes when I was little.

I'm in the frieza saga. He just said:

These balls bring a feeling that resembles joy. I just want to caress them.

Ginyu just said:
What lovely balls

I forgot how much i love the Ginyu Force Episodes. The dancing, the poses, the absurdity of them everytime they introduce themselves. Easily my second favorite story line.

If you were a dog, I'd scratch your belly. If you were a cat, I'd give you warm milk until you started to purr. But since you're neither of these, I'll just say thanks for a job well done.

Those horrible lines mean that you're watching the dubbed version.

Just ignore him. That's just his thing, hating on the English dub.

I'm sure its been discussed at some point in this thread, but here's what i think:

The sub version is better in my opinion. It's more intense, the dialog is way more adult themed and makes the villains seem darker and battles are generally more viscous and awesome.

The dubbed version is what i watched as a kid. It's less intense, they changed a bunch of the dialog, its got some hilarious parts to it.

One of the biggest differences is Vegeta. He is a way more awesome character in the sub versions where he can curse and be a brutal dickhead.

They're different in about every way. Geared towards different audiences. Different dialogue, even the battles are different. But they're both worth watching.

There's also just random stuff changed. The dub version is backwards. LIke when Piccolo first shows up he and Freeza fight: n the dub Piccolo is on the left, but in the sub he is on the right.

Original Japanese dialogue is certainly more adult/intense. Wouldn't say better, but only speaking my opinion. Like I've said here numerous times, I can watch either and be perfectly fine. I just prefer watching the English dub, because it's what I started with. The English dub is what i grew up with, and the voices are entrenched in my head. I also prefer the Bruce Faulconer score. The music throughout DBZ is so intense, I get goosebumps sometimes watching an epic moment, such as Piccolo showing up to fight Frieza. (The left and right thing is due to a mirrored image)

I wish I had the programs necessary to make something like that...and the time.

It is pretty awesome.

Totally agree. It has a special place in my heart. Setting my vcr every morning and making sure I had enough tape to record toonami every day before school is a great memory.

I had put a bunch of those tapes in my attic before Katrina.

One if the few things that survived Katrina in my house along with the dbz comics I'd draw

Too bad I don't own a vcr anymore

I had 100+ VHS tapes until my house burned down. I miss those old Toonami lineups.

I've never watched the remade remastered Kai version. I heard they redid all the dialogue and changed some other stuff.

What's yalls opinion on those

It's all in this thread. If you watch Kai, MAKE SURE you watch the uncensored version. The TV version sucked so much arse.

Don't get me wrong, Kai isn't as rugged as the original DBZ. It is very true to the manga, and peppered with lesser cuss words and such. (Bastard, damn, hell, etc.) The uncut version doesn't censor blood, or anything like that of the TV version. It's very watchable, IMO. Just can't stand how they absolutely butchered Gohan's voice!

I swear early on in DBZ every time Gohan would get his arse kicked and Goku was late I would cry. I though Gohan was done for :(
