Saw it last night and again this afternoon because my girlfriend wanted to go.

I thought it was better today. I saw a late showing last night and went in assuming the worst.

While I still don't think it's amazing, the theater I saw it in thought otherwise. It received a standing ovation once the credits rolled.

This may be the most polarizing film of all time.

It was definitely weird. I stood up and just thought WTF is going on?

Girlfriend liked it too.

Polarizing is good way to describe it. It gave moments of brilliance with a lot of disjointed thunder and foreboding in between. Like Man of Steel, I think it will get much better as a film upon repeated viewings as it has so much visual chaos it is hard to take in the first time.

Zack Snyder will surely be responsible for the final push into idiocracy.

I thought it was a B- movie and could of been an A- movie. Certainly not worthy of the 30% RT score IMO.

I agree. I think it was 6/10. There were definitely moments where I got fired up, but it certainly could have been better.

Regardless, I will 100 percent buy the blu ray with the rated R version.

I know critics killed it and it had a lot of problems,(pacing, casting) but man I had fun watching it. I loved seeing my favorite heroes finally together on the big screen. Batfleck was solid I thought. Whoever did the marketing sucked a bit of the life out of the big moments, keep them away from JL.

I also really liked Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, she was a badass during the fight smirking after doomsday popped her. Looking forward to her movie next year.

I'd say Man of Steel is way more polarizing than this one. Most people think this was shite, while a significant portion of people still like Man of Steel due to not thinking it through. People in my theater booed. This is having a much, much worse reaction than MoS.

If you want polarizing, see the LOST finale. It was either "The Best Finale Eva!!!'" or "The Worst Finale Ever". There wasn't much in between.

About that, go read this thread: LINK

A significant portion of posters there that loved it now aren't big fans of Man of Steel to say the least. Man of Steel only gets worse the more you think about it. If it goes that same route, this will be looked at as one of the worst movies in cinematic history.

You know in general I agree, but no matter what Catwoman still exists.

It is a different type of incompetence. Catwoman is the type of incompetence where everyone involved clearly didn't give a flying frick or do any research.

Snyder's level of incompetence is having contempt for what he's filming, and that always pisses me off more. There is absolutely no love in this movie from the filmmakers. With the Force Awakens on the other hand, you could feel the love and passion for the universe and characters in every scene.

Snyder created a universe where he's the boss, is overwhelmingly serious, and then insults us when we disagree with him.

Man of Steel gets better every time I see it. There is no "right" answer after thinking it through. It's a damn movie. All movies are 100% subjective. It's like asking someone what their favorite color is, but then you say, "Well if you think it through, you will realize you don't like that color." Ridiculous.

I don't need to read anything to help me know how I feel. I am well-versed in myself. Man of Steel only got better on repeated viewings for me and I have a suspicion this one will too. It is definitely flawed, but being able to ingest it a few times should certainly help. Sell your crusade elsewhere.

As I said yesterday, I found stretches where I enjoyed it but there were parts of it that were so absolutely unforgivably terrible from a design and storytelling standpoint that it's unforgivable. I really really felt like a lot of the time, the movie was throwing shite on the screen for no damn reason. The one that stood out to me was a cut to like a 15 second scene where Lawrence Fishbourne is alone walking around the office rambling random shite. And I'm sick of these shots of characters just standing their. It's almost a fricking 3 hour movie, cut the bullshite.
