I think the film gets undue hate. It's so much better than Reloaded. The film took risks blinding Neo and killing Trinity. I still don't understand what the point of the council was. They should have just made Morpheus the king of Zion.

The last two were just a jumbled mess. Any time you have a 10 minute monologue by a character nobody really knows to explain what is going on you know the writers fricked up.

I'm with you. Thought the last film was incredible though 2 was slightly convoluted. At the same time I think people that shite on the scene with the architect just really don't understand the concept of Artificial super intelligence at a deep level; there are some amazing concepts brought up in that scene. The amount of philosophical thought in those movies is one of the best parts (e.g. Steak restaraunt scene)

The Frenchman, the architect, and the cartoony CGI in two ruined the movie for me. I felt 3 rebounded nicely.

The architect seen makes all of Reloaded worth it. There's nothing redeeming about Revolutions, although the ending battle is certainly the right way to go. Everything up till then was horribly executed.

They were obviously more concerned with picking out their tits and vaginas at the time

The last two were bad and revolutions was by far the worst. What was the point of revolutions? What changed? Everyone is still in the fricking matrix, just a better version of it now. Also that fight at the end blew.

I would like to point out one more thing. If you're making the 3rd movie in a trilogy, then killing/blinding/crippling any character is not risky. It's the last one, Neo was obviously going to die and what's the point of Trinity without Neo? Storytelling 101 man

the CGI in Reloaded was bad but i thought the movie was fine. it certainly had some high-minded ideas.

Revolutions was a telegraphed disaster.

The CGI was bad then and it is laughable now. It's weird that the CGI in the original was leaps and bounds better than the sequels.

I will give the sequels a shoutout for being enjoyable enough, and some of the scenes were great (look at you, highway chase scene). But all in all, they were pretty unnecessary and didn't really do much but make the story more confusing and convoluted.

Matrix 2 and Blade 2 introduced the world to CGI Rubber Guy and we haven't looked back since.

This brings up another question. what was their end game? How were they going to handle the refugee crisis of removing everyone from the Matrix?

Weird, I've read at least 4 or 5 posts from you lately that convince me you are an idiot. I don't remember thinking that in the past.

Did you bump your head?

Blinding him so early on was the issue. Not the simple fact that he was blinded.

The shittiness of 2 and 3 convinced me that the "siblings" or whatever they are now stole that first script, because they obviously have no capacity for creativity or talent.

Speed Racer punched that point home with a jackhammer.
