Just finished Episode 10 and having that what heck just happened feeling.

So the TV show varies from the book and they pretty much toss it out there Hitler is TMITHC at the end.

Who was TMITHC in the book, I cannot seem to find that answer online?

I have no clue where they are going with season 2, it pretty much went all Heroes in the last 2 episodes. Really disappointed, but will give the next season a shot at redemption.

The book has so many different points, I want to say in the Book, Germany drained the Mediterranean sea and made it all farmland. They also wiped out Africa and Russia, crazy back story stuff the show doesn't have.

In the Book Hitler was alive but no longer Chancellor, the Chancellor was Bormann who dies setting up a power struggle in Berlin. That was the background, you still had the Nazi acting as a Sweede to tell of operation Dandelion. You had most of the Characters, Joe is a Nazi and all.

It focuses around a book that the major characters. Instead of films you have this book, and almost everyone has read this book. Called "The Grasshopper lies Heavy", where the US wins WW2, because of this the book is banned in the Reich. Joe wants to kill the author or the "man in the high castle" while Juliana wants to meet him.

The "man" in the High Castle is the author of the book, he uses an ancient Chinese text to write the stories the people are living. It get's very odd in the end. I took it to mean the characters in the story themselves are fictional and find out at the end that the stories they read as fiction were the real events and that the lives they live are the real fiction written for others to read.

It's odd because you get three worlds, Our world, the "real" world with The Nazi's in charge and an alternate world where eventually England takes over everything.

Very very strange book, I didn't really like it but I almost want to re-read it. Hitler is not the man in the High Castle in the Book.

Though a lot is different.

I finished yesterday too and while I really liked it and was furiously clicking hoping for a secret episode 11, (ha) I was a little bit confused as to how for the majority of the series we were going basic alternate history genre with a little bit of what could be the making of these movies (and in the middle episodes they didn't focus on the movies at all) and then at the very end they said "haha motherfricker, it's straight up Sci Fi now!" At least I felt that way; certainly doesn't mean I won't watch the next season because I MUST see that next season.

I really don't get the connection to Heroes.

Japanese guys with glasses that can travel through space and time, but yeah, I think people are freaking out a bit too much about the scifi twist. I'm not sure what direction Trade Minister Tagomi is going in, but I think it's a lot more likely we see Joe join the resistance and conflict arise between Joe and his mentor Smith, than we see the show completely jump genres and focus on the different universes.

The ending felt like the intro to Heroes in a way with him teleporting. Maybe a better example would be Sliders?

I like the alt-timeline and gritty feel to it. The last film kind of pissed me off and I could feel this going weird. The Hitler part was actually kind of cool and let's see where this goes. Then this happened
