Saw this over the weekend.

Fantastic movie. Gray's best film to date. Shot on film in South America and it's stunning. Reminds me of Malick's The New World. Charlie Hunnam is convincing. Sienna Miller and Pattinson are great.

I hope it gets a wider release. 88% on RT

Film School Rejects they call it classic filmmaking

Yeah, gotta give it to Pattinson. Dude has killed it in past couple performances outside Twilight.

I read the book a couple of years ago an thought it was a fascinating story. Did anyone who watched this read the book?

I thought it was boring and the pacing was very strange. It wasn't horrible but I wouldn't recommend it. I find Hunman to be a very weak actor, especially when he is supposed to be angry. It doesn't work for me.

Every critic I've heard has said this is by far the best thing he's ever done and point out he has done shitty project after shitty project.

just watched this tonight, I thought it was petty solid. It didn't even recoup is budget in the box office, which I think is an injustice to this movie. Hunnan did ok and Pattinson was good.

my girlfriend really was bored with it and didn't like it. I really enjoyed it despite it having some odd issues.

I will agree, there are far worse movies that make a lot of money because they get a big push behind them and the wide release.

I'll agree with that too. Pattinson was almost unrecognizable and was good in it. Hunnum was like normal, very meh. he had some really good scenes and then would follow it up with some really bland boring dialog.
