"The Leftovers" review: The HBO show's third and final season is a stunning achievement
Quartz
The biggest treat of all, though, is veteran Scott Glenn (Kevin’s father), who gets an episode all to himself and I suspect will be on many Emmy voters’ short lists come awards season. He gives the finest 50 minutes of acting I’ve seen on television since Mad Men and Breaking Bad went off the air.

Would be well deserved recognition for a solid underrated actor. Entire cast has been fantastic.

The Leftovers Season 3 Review: A Masterful, Emotionally Rewarding Journey

In the vein of great HBO series underappreciated in their time — basically, The Wire and Deadwood — The Leftovers might eventually find its biggest fans once it's off the airwaves. There's some tragic irony there: Despite Lindelof's earlier plea, The Leftovers' biggest exposure might come through bingeing.

I'm six episodes into S2
*SPOILERS*
I like it but I'm not a big fan of how they spend an entire episode just focusing on one character. S2 is full of that but I sense that the last four episodes are going to be much better than the previous six. I'm at the point where Kevin reveals that he's been seeing Patti. And Carrie Coon is great....can't wait to see her in Fargo S3.

i need to stop reading reviews, so much hype.
don't think I've read a review that even came close to being negative. historic final season ahead of us.

Between The Leftovers, Better Call Saul, Archer, The Americans and the return this next week of Fargo, Bosch and Silicon Valley, I am in television nirvana.
