What is funny is that the disease never spread to the Nathan James initially because they were out at sea, yet a British sub also out at sea is overcome by the disease and everybody dies except the two brothers.
Yeah, plot hole, but this show is still tops on the summer mindless action series watch list. It's even gotten me back watching Falling Skies because I am too lazy to change the channel. Falling Skies, a series that is True Blood bad.

Didn't the disease spread throughout Europe before it got to North America? Or not?

Honestly don't know as I half pay attention to the show when I watch it. I just know it's one of those shows where the good guys always win.
My favorite character is the guy with the long hair. Great line last night to the Russian "Patient Zero" guy, "now you're just creeping me out."

Love him on here... can't stand him on Suits.
At least they now have Patient zero contained.

Yeah, they showed the scene how the brothers got the sub a couple of episodes ago.

Just got a round to watching the last episode last night. I'm really digging this show. Not sure about yall, but I was on the edge of my couch for pretty much all of it. Very enjoyable summer show.

I'm not sure if you got an answer about the patient zero guy, i don't recall if they showed him after, but i thought at the time, showing him in the Russian uniform was indicating he would survive. He's key in tonight's episode.
Thanks, yea I did see him in the uniform too I'm just curious as to how a nerdy doctor with no navy or survival skills was the only one to survive? And I'm pretty sure he was the only one because I think he even told one of the brothers that he was the only one.

He started an outbreak that killed what... 50-75% of the world's population (do we know how many have been killed?). You think a measly sinking boat is going to kill him? He's a survivor.

in one of the first episodes this year, he lands on a beach in a raft from the Russian sub. He meets some people that they later show as dead from the virus, so I'd assume whoever survived with him from the sub, died of the virus because of him. They did have him in a protective bubble on the sub.

Bump for tonight's episode. No action, but big plot episode. The Good Cop/Bad Cop bit with POTUS was great. Set up for a nice closing run.

Didn't think of that, that could make sense....But also if the Russians knew enough to put him in a bubble then would they really let him on the raft with them knowing they would get exposed?.....Anywho, I didn't get to watch the episode last night, so I am very much looking forward to it tonight

Yeah, I was hoping for some sort of action, but still loved the episode. I was sort of waiting on a double cross type thing there at the very end, though. That's all I can say without spoiling if for those who haven't seen it.

The Russian commander knew, the crew may not have or may not have known what he looked like, he did have on a uniform, which we assume he stole off some dead sailor ad he may have gotten the raft himself, that's not really important though, just that he landed on the beach in it.

I definitely was also.
Like as what has already been stated, I thought it was as good of an episode as it could be without there being any action. My only complaint is that they seemed to be able to sway him and trust him awfully fast. But I know they had to fit it all into one episode, so I'm ok with it.

Great episode. I like that they're not making every episode an action packed explosion fest. Kinda unlike Michael Bay to go that route. If they did that every episode it might get old. Hopefully the pay off is worth re build up.

Sorry, did not like last night's episode. The whole thing was about turning the President. This show is not a character driven show, or a highly dramatic show, it is a popcorn, action type of show. They should stick with the formula that works.
The plot line they are going down right now is kind of interesting but also kind of stupid. The easy answer is to somehow get out the message nationwide that the Navy is on the job, the President is working to restore the government, and that these limey English guys are a bunch of liars and not to be trusted. Any red blooded American would throw them off of American soil after that.

It was episode needed at this point though. They can't just run around the country taking over shite. They are trying to rebuild the world not just find a cure now. Finding the next in line POTUS is a big deal and needed to be dealt with.

The problem is they don't have mass communication yet and the chosen people seem to have some sort of brainwashing network going. I think it's setting up for a nice ending push here.
