The Last Ride

I've seen both. I think I liked Last Ride better, although it was strange to see Elliot from ET all grown up and playing Hank. I liked the fact that they used Jett on the soundtrack. The only thing that seemed out of place was the honky-tonk scene and the whole piece with Caley Cuoco, but I guess they figured they couldn't make a movie just about two guys driving in a car.

I Saw the Light was ok, but with so much source material, I thought it focused way too much on Hank and Audrey, and not nearly enough on the musical genius. I know that the spinabifida, booze, pills and relationship with Audrey were all dark places that generated the genius, but still...I was really hoping for more.
