New one was released today, but I'm thinking many of you haven't seen them, to where I thought this deserved its own thread. I'll continue to update this thread as more video blogs are uploaded.

Everytime I watch one of these blogs it makes me giddy like a school girl. Can't wait for this film and they actually sold me on 3-D in the 4th blog (which is hard to convince me).

I remember the first one being posted here like a year ago (it seems like), and it was pretty cool. I'll be watching these this morning. Good shite.

Good stuff.

The hand drawn 3D picture in the latest blog was really cool. I found a pair of red and blue 3D glasses in my desk and it looked awesome.

Sets
Locations = magnifico
Ian McKellen knows his dwarves
3D camera rigs, tech, and bit/frame rate

I am glad Andy Serkis is more involved. He does great with all of his characters!

It's going to be hard to wait for these films!

there are several cameos that help tie it into the trilogy, like Legolas.

saw these on a Movie set tour in New Zealand...good stuff. They didn't film nearly as much outdoors for the hobbit as they did for LOTR apparently. They did completely redo the shire set though, and made all the hobbit holes, the green dragon, and the mill permanent structures. I've been working on getting those pics on the computer and will post them when I do. Also have a shot of the giant set of laketown at the studios where filming was going on late in the afternoon. (GIANT green screen). It's amazing how different the studio area in Wellington is from Hollywood. There is security on the sets, but you can still just drive up and down the streets between the studios/sets and see random things open garages like a giant dead tree or a bunch of swords and armor

Going there is definitely on my bucket list. Looking forward to getting tanked at the Green Dragon.

Dude, you live in New Zealand? Why aren't you an extra or something. I would be an extra or just do something on that film for free.
